A generally healthy breed
Our dogs receive routine vaccinations against infectious diseases and rabies. Preventive veterinary care, a healthy weight and prompt attention to injuries remain essential.

Health and safety
Speed needsgood ground.
Whippets are generally healthy, but at full speed the place and company for running must be chosen carefully.
What matters
02
Speed changes the risk
The special issue is not how much a whippet moves, but how fast. Several dogs turning at once can collide, especially in excited group play.
03
Inspect the area
Choose a wide, visible space away from traffic, holes, sharp objects, low fences, isolated trees and other obstacles in the running line.
04
Watch the play
Size, play style and number of dogs must be compatible. Stop the session before group excitement becomes uncontrolled chasing through a narrow or dangerous space.

Planned handover
If the puppies are born on 3 or 4 November, they will be eight weeks old on 29 or 30 December 2026. Handover in Croatia is planned from that age, subject to development and veterinary assessment. Handover in Slovenia at eight weeks depends on the young-animal derogation in force and the required documents.
For destinations requiring a valid primary rabies vaccination, the earliest planning point is 15 weeks: vaccination from 12 weeks followed by at least 21 days. With the estimated birth dates, this would be 16 or 17 February 2027. The microchip must precede the vaccination. Actual travel depends on vaccination and destination rules; a passport, health certificate and/or TRACES documentation may be needed for the transport arrangement. Non-EU import conditions are checked separately.
Veterinary procedures for the expected litter will be recorded after they have taken place. Vaccination, microchipping and parasite control will follow the veterinarian’s plan. Vaccination against other infectious diseases does not replace rabies vaccination.
Puppy prices and any additional boarding, veterinary, document and transport costs are agreed individually. Handover dates will be updated after birth.
