A quiet welcome
Keep the first two or three days calm. Let the puppy discover the home, sounds and family at its own pace, with plenty of sleep between short periods of eating, toileting and play.

Calm, safety, plenty of sleep and a simple routine—from arrival in the new home to becoming a young dog.

01
Keep the first two or three days calm. Let the puppy discover the home, sounds and family at its own pace, with plenty of sleep between short periods of eating, toileting and play.
02
Before collection, agree with the breeder which food and quantity the puppy is used to. Use complete food formulated for growth and introduce changes gradually with veterinary advice.
03
Choose an adult-size crate with a soft bed, blanket and safe toy. It is a secure place for rest, never a punishment.
04
The puppies learn to use a tray with pellets before leaving. Keep it available during the first weeks and offer an outdoor toilet break after sleep, food, water and play. Accidents are not disobedience.
05
Outside a fully fenced area, keep the puppy on lead. Check gates, balconies, stairs and every opening a small head might fit through.
06
If the puppies are born on 3 or 4 November, they will be eight weeks old on 29 or 30 December 2026. Handover in Croatia is planned from that age, subject to development and veterinary assessment. Handover in Slovenia at eight weeks depends on the young-animal derogation in force and the required documents. For destinations requiring a valid primary rabies vaccination, the earliest planning point is 15 weeks: vaccination from 12 weeks followed by at least 21 days. With the estimated birth dates, this would be 16 or 17 February 2027. The microchip must precede the vaccination. Actual travel depends on vaccination and destination rules; a passport, health certificate and/or TRACES documentation may be needed for the transport arrangement. Non-EU import conditions are checked separately.
07
Introduce people, sounds, surfaces, travel and stable dogs gradually and positively. Until about six months, expect a baby who sleeps, eats, toilets and plays briefly; around seven or eight months, walks and the daily rhythm become more adult.
08
Build alone-time gradually. If a longer absence is unavoidable, provide a roomy crate or secure indoor pen with separate sleeping and toilet areas, water, safe toys and a suitable chew. A young puppy cannot yet hold its bladder like an adult.

Veterinary procedures for the expected litter will be recorded after they have taken place. Vaccination, microchipping and parasite control will follow the veterinarian’s plan. Vaccination against other infectious diseases does not replace rabies vaccination.
Puppy prices and any additional boarding, veterinary, document and transport costs are agreed individually. Handover dates will be updated after birth.
