Ideal companion
A whippet belongs close to people. It is not suited to isolated outdoor living and thrives as a participating member of the household.

FCI Standard No. 162
Whippet temperamentaccording to the FCI.
The official standard describes the whippet as highly adaptable, gentle, affectionate and even-tempered—an ideal companion in home and sporting environments.
What matters
02
Gentle and affectionate
Affection is often shown through physical closeness, resting beside family members and a strong desire to share daily life.
03
Even-tempered
Natural reserve towards strangers is not fear. A sound whippet is curious, playful and brave, while rose ears carried back and a naturally low tail are normal breed anatomy.
04
Adaptable
Positive early socialisation helps the puppy handle people, stable dogs, travel, sounds, surfaces and changing routines with confidence.

Planned handover
If the puppies are born on 3 or 4 November, they will be eight weeks old on 29 or 30 December 2026. Handover in Croatia is planned from that age, subject to development and veterinary assessment. Handover in Slovenia at eight weeks depends on the young-animal derogation in force and the required documents.
For destinations requiring a valid primary rabies vaccination, the earliest planning point is 15 weeks: vaccination from 12 weeks followed by at least 21 days. With the estimated birth dates, this would be 16 or 17 February 2027. The microchip must precede the vaccination. Actual travel depends on vaccination and destination rules; a passport, health certificate and/or TRACES documentation may be needed for the transport arrangement. Non-EU import conditions are checked separately.
Veterinary procedures for the expected litter will be recorded after they have taken place. Vaccination, microchipping and parasite control will follow the veterinarian’s plan. Vaccination against other infectious diseases does not replace rabies vaccination.
Puppy prices and any additional boarding, veterinary, document and transport costs are agreed individually. Handover dates will be updated after birth.
